It's spring cleaning time 'round these parts. ;) I'm talking wiping down baseboards and organizing every nook, cranny, and CLOSET. Oh my, our closet. It's been on my list of things to tackle for awhile now and today I finally conquered that disaster.
So awful.
Ta-da! It's the floor!
You might be wondering how I purged/organized a closet that I happen to share with my husband. Well, it involves lots of shoving crap that is not mine into drawers that are not mine. It's a super awesome method and hubby really, really likes it. ;)
Lest you think cleaning is all we've been doing lately...here's a little more of what we've been up to.
The boys went to Monster Jam!
We enjoyed a very mild February and so far March is treating us pretty nicely as well. Lots of time outside. A couple of weeks ago C actually rode his bike all the way to the library! It's about a 5 mile round trip! He had no trouble falling asleep that night...his little body was worn out.
There's a local wildlife refuge that offers programs for the public. We've been going to the classes they occasionally have for 5-7 year olds. This picture is from their program on woodchucks (aka groundhogs/whistle pigs, betcha didn't know they were called that!) And last week we had gorgeous weather for their "Spring has sprung" program and we spent most of the time out on the trails.
Home made playdoh.
Baking muffins! In the past he's never been very interested in helping me in the kitchen. I could convince him to join me for a little bit but he always bailed half way in. Now I don't even have to ask him to help. If he sees me prepping he runs to wash his hands and then declares that he can help because his hands are clean. And he wants to help with everything, start to finish. It's fun!
Hubby keeps asking where winter is. I tried to tell him that winter is over, but he doesn't want to believe it. We hardly even had a winter this year. It was great!!! We're looking forward to what Spring has to offer. EP's are now moving again, we've got a visit from my folks coming up, and we are planning some fun things to do as a little family before hubby leaves. And my daffodils are coming up! Yay for Spring!
