Babies grow up fast...wear 'em while you can!

C has been finding his way into our bed most nights lately.  I remember when that was the norm and I missed it when he stopped on his own.  So, I am enjoying this little trip back into cosleeping.  Even though he's much bigger these days and takes up more than his fair share of the bed.  In fact, the other morning hubby and I both woke before C and I whispered "He looks like a teenager."  He really did!  Laying all sprawled out on his back in his t-shirt and undies with his elbow propped up behind his head.  Say it ain't so...this boy is growing up too fast!

I get all weepy looking through old pictures of him.  It's hard to believe he was ever that small.  I can't imagine carrying his long, lanky body around for more than a few minutes these days.  But, I remember how it felt to have him snuggled against my chest for hours at a time.  Precious.  I didn't really find my babywearing groove until C was about 9 months old.  We made up for lost time after that!  He and I both enjoyed babywearing into his 3's.  I love these old pictures and I wanted to preserve them here on the blog.

Baby (or toddler in my case!) wearing was one of the things I looked forward to most with lil' peanut.  The first time I brought it out in Korea and he settled right in...oh man.  There was that feeling again.  Baby on my chest.  Sigh.  Our well-loved carrier has been, and continues to be, enjoyed by little brother.  And mama, of course. :)

They grow up fast!  Lil' peanut already prefers to walk (or run!) on his own.  I'm not ready to give up babywearing yet.  Not until my back starts to protest. ;)
