Friends

I got back yesterday from a weekend in NY with some dear friends.  It was wonderful!  Hubby and the boys had a good weekend too, from what I can gather.  When I asked C what his favorite part about his time with Daddy was he just started giggling.  C has never been good at keeping secrets, but I think this time he's not talking.  I'm pretty sure junk food, staying up late, and lots of movie watching were involved.

I'm really thankful for a husband that doesn't blink an eye when I tell him I want to go away for a few days.  He's truly awesome about giving me time to myself and the boys just eat up their "guy time."  It's a win-win!

I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pictures from my trip but I do have a few I took from a playdate we had last week.  The big kids were out of school, so Kaylee and Megan came over for a few hours.  Grace thought I was doing her a favor by watching them, but it seriously made my day so much more enjoyable!  When C and lil' peanut are alone together, I spend a lot of time trying to keep them apart.  But, with friends over, they didn't bother each other at all.  Lil' peanut stayed downstairs with me some, but for the most part, all four of them played really well together.

Having a snack break.

They told me they wanted to have a wedding and needed clothes to wear.  I helped Kaylee, but C pretty much put his ensemble together all by himself.  Ha!  I guess they were having a little pre-ceremony devotional.

Here they are after their "wedding" which basically involved me pronouncing them "pretend husband and wife" after which C muttered under his breath "no, it's for real" followed by a pretend kiss.  Which I made sure really was pretend!  These two are trouble!!  And this picture may or may not have been the turning point in C's relationship with long hair.  It wasn't long after that we convinced him it was time for a trip to the barber.

If these two want to follow in their big sibs' footsteps and make things official when they're grown...I don't think I'd mind.  Oh. my. word.  I can't take the cuteness!
Hubby goes TDY for a few days this week.  I have lots of m&m's on hand to bribe lil' peanut through two soccer practices and a swimming lesson.  He's not a fan of sitting around in a stroller while big brother gets to run around.
