My blogging has fallen by the wayside! We have been busy little bees down here in Texas. Well, the hubby and I have been busy. The boys have been bored. ;) We have been in our empty house for over a week now. We've explored a few parks, visited our new library, eaten a lot of fast food, and made many, many trips to Home Depot.
Today our new fridge arrived. Yay! The house didn't come with one, so we've been using a mini fridge from hubby's office. And tomorrow our household goods are supposed to arrive. Although I'm not holding my breath...this is the army we're dealing with here. But, man I'm ready to be done sleeping on an air mattress.
Speaking of sleeping, lil' peanut has decided he'd rather not nap (ack!) and in fact fell asleep promptly at 5 pm today while watching an episode of Thomas the Train. Instead of waking the beast...he's definitely not a ray of sunshine without that afternoon nap...I just put him in his bed and hoped for the best. We'll see what time I get a wake up call tomorrow!
Hubby has been a do-it-yourself super star, tackling lots of projects to make our house a home. He ripped up all our kitchen tile because 1) it was awful and ugly and 2) because one tile was already loose and once you start it's hard to stop. Lol! So, now our floors are concrete in there, but honestly I prefer it to that old tile. We are working on getting a new floor in though, hopefully in the next week or two.
I am ready to get our things, unpack, and finally settle in. We need to regain some sense of routine and normalcy around here. The kiddos definitely need it!
Taking pictures has not been a priority this last week, so here are some pictures from our time in KS. This was actually our time in Missouri when we stayed a night with hubby's sister. We all went to the zoo together and had a good (and very hot!) time.
