During our last trip to WV, I managed to convince my sister that she should come visit me the very next weekend. My boys were going to be camping and she was ready for a girl's weekend. I pulled her away for her very first night away from B. She survived! ;) And B was just fine at home with his daddy.
We hit up a big consignment sale Saturday morning (my first!) and then spent the afternoon in Bethesda. We went to Georgetown Cupcakes, of course! And my sister tried to find a dress for an upcoming wedding, but at prices starting at $400 we decided that Bethesda was not the place for girls like us to be shopping. Ha! We made a trip to the regular old mall later for that.
Showing off our loot from the kids consignment sale.
A forecast of rain all weekend prompted hubby to change their camping destination and they ended up just down the road. They stayed at a cabin at the base campground. I didn't even know we had a campground here. But, we got to check it out that night when the boys called "to cordially invite us over for smores." :)
It was fun to see their little cabin and check in on them for awhile.
Pretty nice set up in here. They even have electricity.
But no bathroom. Eww.
Even though they were close to home, my boys didn't let that stop them from having fun on their camping excursion. And I really enjoyed the time with my sister. Perhaps her own boys have begun their own "guy time" tradition now as well. :)
