Running around in WV!

Last month we made a trip to West Virginia.  I was supposed to join my sister in a 5k, but that whole broken toe thing messed with my plans.  Even though I didn't race, we still had a great time cheering on my sister and spending the weekend with her and the rest of the fam.
Waiting for Aunt Net to run past us.

There were some fun things for the kids to do while we waited for the race to finish up.

Yay Aunt Net!  I think hubby had the most fun cheering for her.  He was trying his best to embarrass her but she just pretended she didn't know who that weird guy was yelling at.
Getting ready for the kids race!  It looks like B is getting a pep talk.
Now it looks like Zacc is giving that kid in the yellow and blue some advice.  Ha!
Advice that clearly did not work since C poured on the speed just before the finish line and beat that kid!  This is the only picture I took of C during the race.  He was neck and neck with that boy the entire time and I got all caught up in the moment...screaming obnoxious things like, "Come on!  You can do it!  Go!  Go!  GO!"  And pretty sure there was some victory screaming as well when he crossed the finish line first.  I don't know what happened?!?  My competitive crazy was quickly stifled when C ran over and asked, "Did I win first place?"  "You did so great buddy!"  "But did I win?"  "Did you have fun?"  "Yeah!"  "Good, that's what matters."  "But did I pass that other boy at the end?"  "I think so." (As if I didn't know, ha!)
My kid won, but my nephew's cuteness had every body rooting for him!
C and I both ate some humble pie when he got smoked by the big kids in the longer race.  But, look how much fun he is having!  That's what matters! ;)

Exploring at Cooper's Rock later that day.

Uncle Bobo setting a good example.
And now they're both gonna try it.

Poor B! :(
Am I the only one that finds it disturbing that both the men are looking on and laughing?!  We got a chance to laugh at them later though as they attempted the log roll.

Never a dull moment with these two.
Very fun weekend!  We're looking forward to seeing everyone again for B's 2nd birthday party this month!
