A great day!

Here are some more pictures from our day yesterday!  I may have withheld the whole truth from C about when Daddy would be home.  So, he wasn't expecting him to pick him up from school.  When he looked up and saw him he just stopped in his tracks and his eyes got so big.  I managed to capture it on camera!

Someone is very happy to have his Daddy home.  While hubby was putting him in the car C asked how long he got to stay before he had to go back.  He was amazed to hear that Daddy wasn't going back to Kuwait.

Thank goodness for skype!  I think it has played a HUGE part in teaching lil' peanut who Daddy is.  He was very unsure when we picked hubby up from the airport and several times on the drive home looked like he was about to cry.  But, since then he has been playing it up with Daddy like they are old friends.  This morning he actually showed preference for him.  Which makes me feel relieved and a little bit peeved at the same time. ;)  After all I've put in over the past three months?!  Really kid?  It's ok though, really.  Now I don't have to feel guilty about taking off for a weekend hiatus.

We found a cute little playground after we picked C up from school.  The boys really enjoyed it!  And the weather was gorgeous!  It was a great afternoon.

I LOVE this next picture.  Little stinker!

I don't have many pics of C!  He is usually just a blur!  And if he slows down at all it's because he's found a new friend to play with.  This time he hit it off with all the girls. :)  Even leaving one to play with another saying "It's ok, I'll be back in less than ten minutes.  Ok?  I'll come back and play with you then."

After the playground we took a little stroll through town on our way to our final destination (and really the whole reason for our visit).  The boys had fun making wishes and tossing pennies into this fountain.

And at last...baby's first Georgetown cupcake!  I can't believe that's all he ate of it!  We will teach you our ways little one. ;)
I am glad to get back to blogging.  I've been slacking on it lately for many reasons.  One was that I couldn't figure out the problem with blogger and was having a hard time posting.  I've also had a lot going on.  Some things just physical with my ankle and being busy caring for the boys.  And some things going on that I am still working my way through, processing, figuring out.  I am so, so relieved to have my husband home.  It is truly an answer to prayer!  But, I think we will be dealing with the effects of his absence for some time to come.  The past few months have been a hard season in our lives (mine and the boys) and to not have our husband/daddy around to ease the burden of some of the tough stuff that's been going on has taken it's toll.  Praying for much healing that needs to take place in all our hearts.
