Baby Fever

I definitely spent my fair share of time snuggling with this precious little guy!  But, if anyone has baby fever around here...it's my boys.  Especially C!  He couldn't get enough of baby Ethan. :)

 

Lil' peanut enjoying a turn holding the baby.  Whenever we went somewhere the big boys rode in the back of our car and lil' peanut got to ride in the back of Aunt Net's car.  Right next to the baby.  He liked that.  He willingly gave Ethan lots of hugs and kisses too.

Even hubby (who is the first to tell you babies are not his favorite) enjoyed his nephew.  He is such an easy baby, it's hard not to!  Out of all the time we've spent with our other nephews and nieces as infants, this is the most I've ever seen hubby hold a baby.  Impressive. :)

Before I took these pictures C was laying down right next to Ethan.  Saying "Ahh, this is all I need.  Just a baby to snuggle all day long.  Just what I need."  I told you...baby fever!  Haha!

Watching the two of them together did make me sad for what C has missed out on.  He didn't get to enjoy his little brother's baby stage...and by the looks of it, he would have really liked it.  After telling me that he wished baby Ethan was his brother I said something along the lines of "Babies are pretty special, so I understand why you might feel that way."  "What is William?  Like a toddler?"  "Yeah."  "Yeah, 'cuz he can do lots of things that baby Ethan can't do.  Is Ethan crawling?"  "Nope, not yet."  "See!  William can walk already.  And he's probably better at coloring too.  I bet if we gave baby Ethan a crayon he would just make a scribble."  It really warmed my heart to listen to him come up with his reasons why his own little brother is special too.
