C was looking all cute in his new soccer uniform for his first game on Saturday. We drove to the field in pouring rain and sat in the car while the teams ahead of us finished up. Then the place cleared out. Ten minutes before our start time I called the coach and he said it had just been cancelled. Five minutes later the rain stopped and the sky didn't shed another drop all day. Bummer!!! Especially because now that we've gotten hubby's homecoming/my first surgery moved up C will only get to play 4 games (now make that 3 if they don't make this one up before we head home).
He was sad his first game got rained out, but it was nothing a little frozen yogurt couldn't fix. :) Maybe next weekend we will be getting frozen yogurt after a game!
