Recent happenings

A few things we've been doing...

We went to the aquarium last Friday on hubby's last day of leave.  We headed for the restrooms as soon as we got there with the plan to meet in the cafe because hubby said he wanted a drink.  I walked in to find this little man inhaling a cupcake.  "What?" hubby asked as I sat down and raised my eyebrow.  "At least I waited until a week out" he said.  That would be the 'I feel guilty for leaving so I'll give him whatever he wants' he's talking about. ;)

 

I decided I wanted some more flowers.  I didn't take a 'before' picture so hubby snapped this one from the yard across the street.  It's pretty much identical to what ours looked like.

Ta da!  Marigolds, some kind of petunia hybrid, the tiny pink flowers my Dad planted that I don't know the name for (I'm quite the gardening expert, huh?) ;)  And hard to see but in the back left corner we've got our pumpkin plants.  Have I talked about the pumpkin plants yet?  C wanted to plant some pumpkin seeds and thinking they would never grow, I let him.  They are flourishing.  Soon that area behind the bushes might be a full blown pumpkin patch.  Ha!
