Today I finally got C to JC Penny's to have his three year old pictures taken. I think they turned out pretty good, considering the first words out of his mouth when we walked into the room were "No, I don't want to take pictures." Uh-oh. He also continued to throw his hand up in front of his face and yell "No, don't get close to me!" at our photographer! But, you'd never know it by looking at the shots she managed to capture. With our powers combined we managed to get him to cooperate....and by powers I do mean bribery. We do all of C's portraits through Penny's. I love them. You just can't beat no sitting fee and $3.99 a sheet. Plus their 'smiles by wire' feature which allows me to share these pictures with YOU. Don't look at these pictures if you get sentimental...because they just might make you cry...look how grown up he is! And pretty darn cute (I'm a little bias...so judge for yourself) :)

Get Happy
Doesn't she look happy?
You would be too if you were wearing one of these great shirts from
Happiness is just around the corner!
We are taking orders for shirts with this awesome adoption design...
The design is bright blue on a black shirt. The white words inside the letters are different country names and at the bottom it says this Adoption-I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you. John 14:18.

Come on...get happy!

My sister got me hooked on the show So You Think You Can Dance about three years ago. I actually used to make fun of her for liking it until I watched it for myself. I've pretty much been an addict ever since. And recently, I got to see the Season 5 dancers on tour!!! For those of you out there who are thinking, "Seriously?" Yes, seriously! And it was GREAT!
The view from our FLOOR seats!
My mom actually bought the tickets (thanks Mom!) but her new grandbaby decided to show up a week late, so she was still busy when it came time for the show. So, I took a dear friend of mine. She is a dancer herself and I think loved the show even more than I did. It was a wonderful night out with one of my best girls and some really great dancing!
Halloween!
Mommy and C had a blast at the farm fest! Our Halloween morning looked like this...
Our evening can be summed up in just one photo...
This was right after our 2nd (and obviously our last) house. C refused to believe that complete strangers may not want him to burst into their homes and play with all their stuff. Ah, well, maybe next year!

I would not consider myself a crafty person. I actually impressed myself with the amount of "projects" I came up with for the kids to do during the month of October. Just to clarify, I was impressed with the amount...not the quality...of said "projects." Thankfully, it does not take a lot to impress these two kiddos, and they pretty much loved them all.
Jack-o-lanterns!
Pumpkin Painting!
Somewhere along the way it ended up being way more fun to paint the plates instead of the pumpkins
When the novelty of plate-painting wore off...we moved onto body art...
Fall Trees!
Mask Making!
I see some hand-print turkeys in our future!
I've got several posts brewing so check back soon to catch up on our Halloween, my SYTYCD experience, and my recent trip to meet my nephew.
