More hanbok pictures

Lately I have been thinking "I really need to put him in his hanbok and take some pictures."  This weekend is Chuseok, a Korean holiday.  We celebrated by dressing the boys in their traditional Korean clothing and having a little photo session.  Really, I decided that now was a good time to take those pictures because a) I'd been wanting to and b) it might absolve my guilt over doing absolutely nothing else for Chuseok!  Good grief though, this boy is cute!
I put the hanbok on him right when he woke up from his nap and he was not very happy about it.  Until I held him in front of the mirror.  Oh. my. word.  His face lit up when he saw himself.  It was so precious!  I wish I had a picture of that because he had the biggest smile on his face.

Daddy and C pulled up just a bit after we had started our little photo session.  C jumped out of the car yelling "I want to put mine on!  Where's mine?  Can I put it on?" :)  Remember that our boy's foster mom gave us not only his hanbok that he wore on his first birthday, but one she had chosen for C as well.  I was so touched that she had thought of C and gave him such a beautiful gift.  It made me happy that C was so excited to wear it.  He loved it and wanted to keep it on all day and have a party. ;)

I love this one of them looking at each other.  Lil' peanut has just adored C from day one and his affections have not waned.  It's really amazing.  So sweet.

Chuseok is sometimes called the Korean Thanksgiving.  Well, if that's the case, I know what I'm thankful for!  I love these two cuties!!!

Going camping

One of the first things on hubby's to-do list once he got home was to take C camping.  We all went out together and lil' peanut and I hung out for awhile.  We played at the playground, cooked dinner over the fire and roasted smores.  We got all the best parts of camping in before heading home to our beds. :)  C and Daddy have plenty of oreos and a movie or two to complete their camping experience.  And hubby says spending time in my grandparents' trailer skewed my views of camping.  Pshhh...I give you an actual conversation...

C:  The most important thing about camping are the oreos.
Hubby:  I thought it was the guy time?
C:  Ok, guy time is first.  The second most important thing is oreos!

I haven't been on a camping trip in awhile.  I guess C has some responsibilities nowadays.  It was pretty cute watching him stack the firewood.

My attempt at a family photo.  By the way, hubby and C love it when I set up the self-timer.  I mean it absolutely thrills them. ;)

C posing with that creepy red spider.  Ick!

Lil' peanut makes this face whenever somthing really amazes him.  He does it when we close the garage door at home.  Every. single. time.  Ha!

Another new face.  "Stinky!"

C putting on a magic show for us.

So, the fire kind of freaked the little guy out.  I think the popping noises are what scared him.  But, you know what it got me?  My first genuine cuddles.  This was the first time he has ever really, truly snuggled into me like that.  Full on, wrapped his arms around me tight and laid his head on my shoulder.  I loved it.

Brothers

Field trip Fun!

C had his first field trip yesterday to the zoo!  I loved that hubby was home and able to go with him...AND that he came home with pictures for me.

I think it was extra fun for C because he and Kaylee got to hang out all day.  I don't think they spend that much time together during the school day.  Their desks are far apart and I think the girls and boys keep themselves pretty segregated during playtime.  So far I haven't heard mention of Kaylee when C tells me he played power rangers/super heroes/ninjas at recess. ;)  Hubby said they got along really well all day.  Sweet pictures of these two to prove it. :)

I kind of love that C wore his "junior explorer" gear for most of the day.

Hubby said they weren't even prompted to hold hands...just did it on their own.  Awww. ;)

I love this next one.  It looks like they are having a great time...maybe sharing a joke.
