Daddy and his baby

I was snooping around on hubby's phone this afternoon and found this sweet picture!  I emailed it to myself so I could post it.  Aren't they cute?? ;)
Tomorrow I need to spend some time posting.  I've got Valentine's Day pictures and pics from our time at a Lunar New Year celebration we went to today.  We are having lil' peanut dedicated in church tomorrow, so hopefully I will have pictures to share from that as well!  Happy Weekend!

Babies grow up fast...wear 'em while you can!

C has been finding his way into our bed most nights lately.  I remember when that was the norm and I missed it when he stopped on his own.  So, I am enjoying this little trip back into cosleeping.  Even though he's much bigger these days and takes up more than his fair share of the bed.  In fact, the other morning hubby and I both woke before C and I whispered "He looks like a teenager."  He really did!  Laying all sprawled out on his back in his t-shirt and undies with his elbow propped up behind his head.  Say it ain't so...this boy is growing up too fast!

I get all weepy looking through old pictures of him.  It's hard to believe he was ever that small.  I can't imagine carrying his long, lanky body around for more than a few minutes these days.  But, I remember how it felt to have him snuggled against my chest for hours at a time.  Precious.  I didn't really find my babywearing groove until C was about 9 months old.  We made up for lost time after that!  He and I both enjoyed babywearing into his 3's.  I love these old pictures and I wanted to preserve them here on the blog.

Baby (or toddler in my case!) wearing was one of the things I looked forward to most with lil' peanut.  The first time I brought it out in Korea and he settled right in...oh man.  There was that feeling again.  Baby on my chest.  Sigh.  Our well-loved carrier has been, and continues to be, enjoyed by little brother.  And mama, of course. :)

They grow up fast!  Lil' peanut already prefers to walk (or run!) on his own.  I'm not ready to give up babywearing yet.  Not until my back starts to protest. ;)

Happy Lunar New Year!

Yesterday was a big Korean holiday.  The Lunar New Year, or Seollal!  Any excuse to dress lil' peanut up in his precious hanbok. ;)  Honestly, I didn't know anything about this holiday.  Good old youtube to the rescue.  You can click here if you want to watch the video I found about it.  I'm sure C will want in on the hanbok fun too, so there will probably be more pictures to come.

Precious Moments

"Hey, come color with me."  It is rare for C to invite lil' peanut in on an activity so it's a precious moment to watch when it happens.  I took several pictures and in every one my little guy was looking at his big brother instead of the camera.  I love his big smile and how you can just see the adoration on his face.  Maybe these moments are pretty precious for him too.

Stuck like glue

This little guy has been spending more and more time by my side, in my lap, on my hip...and I'm loving it.  Over the past month or two he has settled even more.  I've heard other adoptive parents say things like "If you think it's good 3 months in, wait for 6 months, or a year, or two."  It really is getting better and better.  His latest adorable antic?  Kissing every part of my face that he knows the name for.  "Popo (kiss) cheek, popo nose, popo eye, popo eyebrow, popo hair, popo ear"  It's precious.  Also precious?  His goodbye ritual with Daddy.  When hubby leaves for work, he has to hug each of his legs, give him a popo, and then blow kisses until the door shuts.  He used to cry when hubby and C left in the mornings, but now he happily sends them off and seems to really enjoy the one-on-one time with me.

My goal this weekend...get that sassy 6 year old of mine to hold still long enough for some new pictures!

Wrestling with Daddy

This is very common occurrence in our house!  You will usually find me snapping pictures or trying to hide out on the couch and read a few pages in a book.  Such an integral part of being a boy, I think.  I'm fully supportive, but the boys know Mommy doesn't wrestle quite like Daddy.  Most days they leave me be, but they do love to pin me down and take turns blowing raspberries on my stomach.  Which, in lil' peanut's case, just means spitting.  So, that's fun.  Ha!  I do love my boys and the craziness they bring to my, what I'm sure would otherwise be, calm and quiet (maybe even boring) life! :)

Surprises

The boys got some fun surprises in the mail from Nana this week.  That little pink blob is C's latest obsession.  Kirby.  Grandma got him a Kirby video game for Christmas and he loves it.  And lil' peanut got a baby doll.  He had so much fun carrying the babies around and pushing them in the toy stroller at Nana's house that she decided he needed one of his own.  I love that he and his baby have the same hair. ;)  He held his baby, fed him a bottle, and then threw him off his lap and shouted "Bye bye baby!"  Ha!
