Summertime

Playing puppies...

These pictures crack me up.  Is that youngest child of mine not just the epitome of the "baby of the family."  I've heard that youngest children like to be in the limelight.

Another adventure

We woke up to another gloomy day this morning.  We went for donuts.  A day late since apparently yesterday was national donut day.  Hubs had a conference call so the boys and I hung out upstairs playing legos until that was over.  Then we headed out to a new museum.  It was small, C was a little disappointed about that, but it was still a lot of fun.  They have a dinosaur exhibit right now and a really neat discovery room.  I think it will be a great rainy day activity, especially for me to take the littles to once C is back in school.

C and Daddy put this magnetic praying mantis together.

Lil' peanut loved digging for fossils.  He probably could have kept at it all afternoon.

A hissing cockroach!  I cannot believe that out of all my kids this guy was brave enough to hold it!  He surprises me sometimes, this little man.

Baby went as far as touching it and C's response was "Um, no."  Now, that is a kid I have something in common with. ;)

A common sight

I finally have a working computer again so I should be able to post more often....at least when these three aren't keeping me busy.  As you can see, they are thoroughly enjoying summer break.  Pajamas always acceptable and shirts rarely required. This is such a regular sight it doesn't phase me at all but I do sometimes wonder what the neighbors think. :)

Touch-a-truck

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from our small town's touch-a-truck event.  But, they had a bunch of great "mighty machines" and vehicles to climb around on.  We also got to ride the carousel next door for free.  My folks came along too and it was a fun little outing.  Hubby reported in to his new job yesterday so we might not be going on adventures as often with Daddy back to work.  It's always hard for everyone when we get used to having him around all the time and then "real life" starts again.  I'm hoping to have lots of fun with my boys this summer as TWO of them will be going to school in the fall.  C will be in 3rd grade and lil' peanut is going to half-day preschool!

Children's Day at the zoo

Well, we're officially midwesterners again.  We're in our third week here and feeling quite settled in.  Our computer situation is still not ideal for blogging which is why I've been so quiet since we moved.  I'll have to write about our move and new home soon, but for now I just want to get some pictures up.  I hate going too long without posting since we have a very special lady half way across the world that still checks in here.

Tuesday was the Korean holiday, Children's Day.  We celebrated our little loves by taking them to the zoo for the day.  The weather was perfect and it was just a wonderful day together.  This was our first zoo trip where pumpkin baby has actually shown an interest in any of the animals!  He loved watching the penguins and the bird show.  He kept pointing and saying "whoah!"  Lil' peanut's favorite part was the train.  And the tram. :)  And C just seemed to enjoy everything.  I'm glad he's still not "too cool" for family trips to the zoo.

My handsome big kid!

Squee!  His little arm wrapped around my neck...he held on the entire time.  Precious!

Having fun!

Love these three little men!

Lil' peanut said several times that it was "the best day ever!" Love his enthusiasm for life.  And I agree, the day was pretty great.

The littles in live action!

Lil' peanut was eating some of his snacks that his foster mom sent the other day and it made me think how much she'd probably enjoy to see a video of him.  So, here are a couple that I took that day.

Easter weekend

Although the circumstances that brought us back to KS again were sad, we enjoyed visiting with our extended families over the Easter weekend.  I didn't take many pictures...just being "present" was important and took precedence over capturing memories.  My husband was quite close to his grandfather so I know laying him to rest was tough for him.  And the kids kept us busy, that's always the case! :)  Baby is at that age where he's into everything so you can't ever relax in a new/unfamiliar setting.  And lil' peanut had several moments of just being overwhelmed with everything different and all the attention.  Big C was pretty easy peasy this trip.  I'm so glad he was feeling well while we were gone, but the day we traveled back he spiked a fever again and hasn't kicked this new virus yet!  I sure hope he's feeling well again soon and that he's able to go back to school for his last week at Bay Area.

Onto the pictures while I have a minute.  The plumber will be here soon.  Oh yes, the hot water heater was leaking all over the floor this morning.  One week before we pack up and head out of here.  And who's idea was this dity move again?!  (Mine.  It was mine.  Trust me, hubby will never let me forget that moving ourselves was my idea.)  Lol!  Onward!

Dyeing eggs at Nana and Papa's...

And hunting eggs at Nana and Papa's...

He couldn't wait to dig into his candy, eating it on the go!  That is so him. :)

We did an egg hunt with hubby's family too.

Look who we ran into. :)

Hanging out before heading to the airport on Tuesday and the kids found a new friend.  Ack!

Our flight home was delayed an hour so we had lots of time to kill at the airport.  Thankfully not many people like those late flights because we pretty much had the run of the place.  And we ended up with the whole back of the plan to ourselves!  C loved sitting in his own row.  Such a big kid!
