Swallow Falls

We loved Swallow Falls!  I wish we could've spent all day there.  Hubby and I had planned to go back one more time on our own before we headed home on Sunday, but the weather didn't cooperate. :(

We didn't realize that these were the kind of falls that you could play in so we weren't wearing sandals or swimsuits.  No matter, we just tossed our shoes aside and climbed in.

Some of us climbed in farther than others. ;)

It was quite a new experience for me to play at the water's edge with a child who timidly dipped her toes in while holding onto my hands.  (Because as you know, my own kiddo was scaling the rock wall solo)

These two are about as different as night and day.  While we were at the playground one day, my mother-in-law pointed to each of them and said C is just like hubby and Cora is the childhood version of hubby's older sister.  They may be polar opposites, but they have this in common...they are both sweet and wonderful and completely loveable. :)
